Little by Little

Beekeeper GuyOver on the right, behold the Steinbach beekeeper ornament. He is so cute, with his little wooden bees (see on his hat and his left hand?) and his little bee veil and beehive. And that big pipe. Adorable!

Well, the xmas shopping is mostly done. Every night I'm wrapping up a few more presents and trying to get my boxes ready to mail out. I still have to make the cookies; I may work on that tonight. I'm hoping to get these packages out by Monday at the latest. That's already cutting it close, with the way the mail is running this year, but trying to do it any sooner would probably be too much.

As for the holiday cards... well... let's just say that last year I wrote them during the week after Christmas. I send them out every year, but they're not high priority for me.

Again this year Marty and I will be here in Connecticut for the holidays, just us and Ziggy. Two years ago his mom was here visiting from Georgia, and three years ago we went to North Carolina to his dad's. But this year we didn't have any vacation time left, and nobody could get away to come up here, so it'll just be us. I don't mind that. We always have a good time together. Still, it would be nice to live closer to home. Maybe someday.

In the meantime, it's good to enjoy the things that our area has to offer that you don't get to see everywhere. So here is a picture I took a week ago today, of the tree at Rockefeller Center in New York:
