Happy Thanksgiving from Munich!

Plans are proceeding apace for a nice Thanksgiving dinner tonight. I am about to get the hens ready for the oven.

This morning I made the pie and it looks as though it turned out great. I will try to post a picture later. In the meantime, here's the recipe, courtesy of Southern Living magazine.

Lemon Chess Pie

2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon cornmeal
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup milk
4 eggs
1 unbaked pie crust

Combine sugar, flour, cornmeal, and salt. Add butter, lemon rind, lemon juice, and milk; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well with a wire whisk after each addition. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 350 deg F for 50 minutes.

Have a great day!
