Getting Ready
Well, it's been a while since I posted. I've been busy driving here and there, to work and to chorus, and when I'm home I am usually very tired. But everything is going well. I am about to start my sixth month of pregnancy, if you can believe that!
So, Marty and I are starting to think about getting ready. The due date is in early February, and now that October is here it suddenly starts to seem closer. We found out a few weeks ago that the baby is a boy, and knowing that has made everything seem more real, as well. We even bought a crib! I can't believe it.
Things with the pregnancy seem to be going well. Like I said, I feel pretty good, and the baby seems healthy. We have had some ultrasounds and we listen to the fetal heartbeat regularly. I have also started to feel some movement, which is very reassuring.
We are also trying to figure out what we'll need when the baby comes. Amanda gave me a book about it that has helped a lot, but I am just not very knowledgable about what a baby really NEEDS. Besides the obvious (car seat, crib, diapers).

Ziggy definitely recommends the bouncy seat (a hand-me-down from my hairdresser, whose children have outgrown it). And no, we aren't going to let him sit in it until the baby gets here so that he thinks it belongs to him, he just took the opportunity to test it out when I brought it in the house. How could he resist?
