Surgery Update

I met with the surgeon this morning about my gall bladder surgery. He was very pleased that I had been able to avoid another attack over the weekend by following a no-fat diet. In fact, he suggested that I wait and have the surgery when Alex is a little bit older, and things have calmed down for Marty and me somewhat.

So right now I am going to try to continue controlling the gall bladder with my diet, and then have the surgery (hopefully laproscopically) in about two months. But if I have another bad attack before then, they will need to go ahead and do the surgery.

Cross your fingers for me that I can control this... I really hope we can wait until Alex is a couple of months old before I go back to the hospital for another procedure! And goodness knows, an extremely low-fat diet is not going to do me any damage!
