Two Weeks Old

Looking at the light coming in the nursery window.
Alex is two weeks old tonight. I know it must sound strange, but he seems to change every day. Today he looks to me like he has more hair. I don't think he's put on much weight yet, but we'll find out tomorrow at his two-week checkup.
Last week was all about figuring out how to just take care of him here at home. This week we are fine-tuning some of the things we learned, and also adding some outings into the mix. So far this week, Alex has been to the grocery store, the hospital (for a new moms' support group), Dairy Queen, and Friendly's. Tomorrow we are going to the pediatrician and I think on Friday we may go to the mall. I plan to go there and walk until the weather gets warmer, so I want to find the easiest way to get in and out with the stroller.

It's been great to get out and about, and I am glad we could do that while Marty is still off work. I think I'll feel a lot more comfortable taking Alex around myself once we've been out with Marty. Luckily, we've had great weather ever since the end of the blizzard on the weekend.
We sleep in shifts right now... and it's my turn to go to bed. So I'll stop here with a couple more pictures from this week. Click to enlarge.

I love the top photo. I bet you guys are figuring things out right and left.
That is just one handsome little boy! What a cutie. He HAS changed in the last two weeks. I think so too.
Glad to hear things are coming together for you. And you are really out and about on the town!
Hope to see you soon!
