Learning and Growing

I know I post a lot of pictures of Alex on the play mat, but this is one of his favorite toys right now. Over the last week he has learned to hit the toys on purpose. His little fist was flying today.



Then he surprised me by turning his head towards me and reaching out his left hand to grab the hem of my blue jeans. I've seen him fingering my shirt collar before when I'm holding him, and he frequently hangs onto my necklace with one hand, but this was the first time I'd ever seen him reach out and take something in his hand.



It's amazing how much he's learned in eight weeks!
