Eight Months Old

Playing in jammies

Alex celebrated turning eight months old by climbing the stairs, getting a tooth, and coming down with his first ear infection. I could have done with a little less action.
This is the first time he's really been sick. He's had some minor colds before, but nothing that made him so miserable that even I wanted to cry. He's really uncomfortable.
We went to the doctor today and got some medicine, so I'm hoping he'll feel better very soon. His first antibiotics... I figure we did pretty well, considering he started daycare a month ago.
Other than the ear infection, he is doing great. He weighed 21 pounds today at the doctor's office. It's hard to believe he was once so tiny. He's up on his feet constantly, although he's not cruising around the furniture much yet. His favorite thing is to reach up as high as he can and pull random items off the tables... anything that happens to be near the edge.
In other news, our neighborhood had a tag sale this weekend, and we sold our TV. Our only TV. It seems so unamerican! But we sure have a lot of space in our living room now (we also got rid of the entertainment center).

Poor little Alex! I really hope he gets better fast.
I lived without TV from birth until I was 7, when we returned to Australia from PNG. I never missed it; I just remember playing outside alot!
I'd love to get rid of our TV. But I cant see it happening! lol. :)
Felicity. :)
You sold your TV!?!? Are you going to get another one? I don't know what I would do without a TV (yeah, yeah, I know...I could read a book, talk to my friends and family, yada yada. LOL) But really, I would lose my mind.
