Today was a gorgeous fall day in Connecticut -- perfect weather for the American Diabetes Association's Walk for Diabetes.

Thanks to all our friends and family who donated, our team raised almost $1,300 for diabetes care and research. We also had a great morning walking around Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven.

Alex enjoyed the walk on Daddy's shoulders and in the stroller. Next year he will be able to walk some of it for himself!

As you may know, diabetes is a rapidly growing problem in our country. More and more people are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes every year, and the numbers are pretty astounding. The American Diabetes Association recently released some tips for avoiding type 2 diabetes, and although they may sound like common sense, they can make a big difference. Check them out!

Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to our walk, and especially to the Sugar Babies team. Alex, Marty and I can't wait for next year!
