The Farmington Valley Chorus in "An Affair to Remember"

An Affair to Remember - FVC 2006 show
Originally uploaded by Raspberry World.

Our 2006 show this past Saturday night told the story of Shirley Devore, of 5 Riverside Drive in Manhattan. Shirl is on the second row in pink overalls and an apron (left side of the picture). The rest of us played the parts of her friends and neighbors in the apartment building.

Our program included

Fun in One Lifetime
Undecided
When Will I Be Loved?
What I Did For Love
Liar/Angry Medley
I Had Someone Else (Before I Had You)
Hard-Hearted Hannah
It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)
Ring Them Bells

"Ring Them Bells" was a song made popular by Liza Minnelli that told the story of Shirley Devore, who traveled round the world to meet the boy next door.

We had a blast, and the audience seemed to enjoy the whole show very much. The quartets Men in Black and Encore were also on the program, and they both did a great job. And Alex was there for the whole thing -- asleep on Dad's chest.
