Spring, at last

Spring is here. I’m so glad.
This week we are seeing bright blue skies and warmer days. Monday, Alex and I went to the aquarium with our new neighbors. We had a great time watching the whales, fish, and sea lions. We didn’t take the stroller and Alex really enjoyed walking with the group like a big boy.
Today we hosted a playdate at home, with two little girls (18 months and 2 years old). We played in Alex’s playroom and then went outside to play on the swings in the backyard. The children played in the school bus tent and the playhouse. We had snacks and the moms drank coffee. It was a fun time! Our first social event in our new home. It was just what I needed to get the house in (semi-)presentable condition.
I’ll be working the rest of the week, but I am so relieved this weather is finally here. It is gorgeous today! I raked a huge pile of leaves in the backyard and there’s much more yet to do…
Also, our tomato seeds have sprouted.
