Chez Katynka, Spring 2000
|
I'm afraid you won't find pictures of Katynka on this page, but I am sure
she'd agree that it's much more important to feature pictures of Odin, her cat. He's very
shy around strangers, and I consider myself lucky even to have been able to take this
picture. Most of the time we were visiting, he hid out in other parts of the house. But
here he is in his full glory. He's a very handsome cat. |
Katynka has a beautiful old house in a small town in Central
Pennsylvania. I like this picture of her stairs becuase you can see what a great job she
did on the wallpaper in the hallway. It's textured wallpaper, with a pattern of leaves,
and she hung it herself and painted it green, then used different shades of green to glaze
it for texture. It's gorgeous! |
Odin in action -- playing with a yellow bird attached above
him with elastic. What a great toy! |
Marty in Katynka's living room. I love the dark woodwork in this house, and
the way the light comes in the front door. Note the alarmed cat on the floor next to the
chair. He's wondering why Marty gets to sit in his chair. (And yes, the living
room is strewn with cat toys. You expected something else?) |
