Driving the Mohawk Trail
Northwestern Massachusetts
October 13, 2000
A bend in the riverOn October 13, Marty and I drove up into the North Berkshires, Massachusetts, to check out the fall foliage. Here are some of the pictures we took that day. If you click on any of the pictures you can see a larger version. You can also read about our route.

This is a picture of a bend in the Deerfield River, near Shelbourne, Massachusetts.

Another view from the same spot in the Deerfield River Valley.
The water was very clear and calm, and with the sun shining so brightly that day you could see right to the river bottom.
Susie on the Mohawk TrailHere I am beside the river.
