May 19, 2001: All the boys are fun and sweet. They are really sweet children. I have a room and private bathroom in the dorm for boys aged 11, 12 and 13. My chefe (head of the dorm) will help me with anything I need and he has a cell phone in case I need to call anyone. When I moved in they helped me unpack my things...the little boys in my dorm. So adorable!!

	Most of the students at Casa do Gaiato are orphans -- gaiatos. The three little boys in front live in house #1; they are in second grade. The wheelbarrow is filled with items donated to the school.
