Influence Ever since Tj and I became good friends in September of 1998, she has had an amazing impact on my CD collection. She sends me these great mix tapes that make me want to go out and buy new music. And not just new music -- sometimes it's old music I already love but just don't own. But I can't resist her power! Thank goodness for used CD stores! When I realized how many CDs I'd bought directly or indirectly because of Tj, I decided to make her a mix with songs from all those different CDs. Can you believe I had 21 CDs to choose songs from? And all of them were so very cool. I love the way this mix turned out. I play it all the time. I picked the spooky cover art partly because of the CD's title and partly because the images reminded me of Tj. The best part was, even before she looked at any of the songs, she figured out the concept of the CD from the title alone. And when she played it, she said just what I had been thinking about her all along -- "Hey, I have pretty good taste in music!" See below for cover art and playlist:
