One
Week (June 30 - July 8, 2000) This is a visit mix, from when Laura came to visit from Georgia last summer. We had a marvelous time! This mix is full of songs we listened to while she was here, songs we heard in restaurants or movies, and songs from our checkered past. There's also a tongue-in-cheek patriotic theme on this one, which is appropriate since it was made over Independence Day. This was also one of my Hanson proselytizing mixes, which explains the songs from This Time Around and the acoustic version of "MmmBop" (absolutely irresistible). I consider "Do They Know It's Christmas" to be one of the most horrifying songs ever, and I absolutely love it. I do. I will listen to it at any time of the year, laughing and singing all the way through. They were just so earnest. And so very, very wrong. I bet Bono has never forgiven himself for belting out the line, "Tonight, thank god it's them instead of you." So it's a little Christmas in July. This is a good one.
