Oh, Matthew, Matthew, how I love you.

This is a mix of Matthew Sweet rarities and live stuff, mostly downloaded during the Napster heyday. Matthew Sweet is known for funky covers, alternate versions, and live stuff. I have a few of his rarities in my collection, but they can be hard to come by. (I'm still kicking myself for passing up that used copy of "Goodfriend" at Mike's Movies & Music back in State College years ago!) So I was happy to have the opportunity to make this mix for myself, thanks to Napster.

Some of my favorites on this CD: the cartoon themes (Scooby Doo and Speed Racer), the cover of Big Star's "Ballad of El Goodo," and "Silent City."
