With the approach of dusk, the golden walls of the Theatinerkirche catch the light of the setting sun.

This is one of four lions outside the Residenz (in Odeonsplatz) thought to bring good fortune if pedestrians rub the base of its shield as they walk by.

You'll notice a shiny patch of brass where it has been rubbed over the years.
