Fast Blueberry Cobbler
Serves 6, takes about 1 hour.Here's one from my great aunt Mamie, who truly was a great
aunt. This recipe is so easy, you just pour everything together and the crust rises
to the top. Serve with vanilla ice cream, or just a little cream poured over it.
Heavenly . . .
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 cup sifted self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup sugar, divided
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh blueberries (1 pint)
- 1/2 cup water
Method
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Melt butter in a shallow 1
1/2 quart baking dish in oven.
- Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and milk in mixing bowl; stir
to blend. Pour batter evenly over melted butter.
- Stir together berries, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, and water;
spoon evenly over batter. Do not stir.
