Broccoli Salad
By request! Don't let the name fool you, this is not
a healthy food. But boy, is it good! A recipe from Kim, my wonderful next door
neighbor when I lived in Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania.Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh chopped broccoli crowns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 small chopped onion
- 6 pieces bacon, fried and crumbled
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
Method
- Stir together broccoli, cheese, onion and bacon in a large
bowl.
- For dressing, mix mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar. Stir
into salad and toss to coat.
- Serve. Can be chilled for two hours first, if desired.
