Broccoli Salad

By request!  Don't let the name fool you, this is not a healthy food.  But boy, is it good!  A recipe from Kim, my wonderful next door neighbor when I lived in Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh chopped broccoli crowns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 6 pieces bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

Method

  1. Stir together broccoli, cheese, onion and bacon in a large bowl.
  2. For dressing, mix mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar.  Stir into salad and toss to coat.
  3. Serve.  Can be chilled for two hours first, if desired.
