Garlic Green Beans

Serves 4

I like to serve these beans at Thanksgiving and other special occasions.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt-free herb seasoning (Mrs. Dash)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Method

  1. Steam green beans in water for 10 minutes or until crisp-tender.  Drain and keep warm.
  2. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat; add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until tender.  Stir in seasonings, then add beans and cook 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  3. Spoon into a serving dish and top with parsley.
