Potato Rolls
(bread machine recipe)
Makes 24 rolls.
This is a good recipe for using up that last half-cup of
mashed potatoes that you just hate to throw away. Use the dough setting on the bread
machine and then bake them in your oven.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 egg
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup plain mashed potatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast
Method
- Place all ingredients in bread pan according to bread machine's
directions.
- Mix on dough setting.
- When dough cycle has finished, place dough on counter and shape into
24 balls.
- Place rolls in 9x13 inch pan and allow to rise until doubled (30 - 45
minutes)
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Bake rolls 12 minutes until golden.
Serve warm.
